Had a conversation with a friend of mine one day. She told me i should try writing a happy song but i wasn’t sure how to go about that. Instead i wrote a song about a good day about what would possibly make me happy. At the time i was in my Gym Class Hero’s phase so if you listen I was trying to swing my delivery as best I could as Travis Mcoy. “Otaku” is a term they use to classify kids in Japan who are into Anime, Manga and Video Games, which are of course mentioned in the song and in hindsight they song should have been called something else.
